My Summer

Since this blog is like a journal for me, here are a few things I've done during my last summer before I go away for college.

1. I started and finished a painting. My awesome friend Josef was an amazing teacher!!

2. I got all pretty for a dance with friends (never mind the fact that there were no boys at the dance, we didn't want to dance with them anyways...)

3. I went to Florida with the fam. Harry Potter world +The Grinch Who Stole Christmas + Orlando Temple = Best Family Vacation Ever!!!!

4. YSA Temple Trip

Love this girl!! She is amazing.

5. I said goodbye to these darling girls.

6. I rode a motorcycle for the first time. I may or may not have been completely freaking out and it may or may not have taken all of my willpower to not scream, "Let me off I'm walking home."

7. I dropped my little brother of at West Point. Aka one of the hardest days of my life.

8. I went to an old friend's wedding reception. She was my youth camp leader (ycl) at girls camp when I was 13 years old.

9. I went to my first midnight showing of a movie. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Yes, I dressed up for the movie. All respectable witches and wizards did. Yes, I had to be at work by 8 the next morning. Yes, it was worth it.

 10. YSA Palmyra Trip. It was an amazing experience to see the Joseph Smith home, the sacred grove, the place where the Book of Mormon was published, the Palmyra Temple, and the Hill Cumorah Pageant.

Of course we also had to go to this Greek restaurant in honor of my brother who served his mission in Greece.

This is my friend who is currently in the Missionary Training Center (MTC), but he will eventually be serving in Madagascar! I just got a letter from him and it pretty much made my entire weekend :)

I am so grateful for the 19 year old guys and 21 year old girls who leave their lives behind and serve the Lord.

My First Blog!!

Hi!
Today after a crazyyyyy adventure in the 104 degree weather involving my bff Ash nearly fainting, she insisted that I start a blog, so I could tell the whole world about it!
We were having a lovely photo shoot in some beautiful gardens, because that is one of our favorite things to do, when all the sudden Ash was freaking out and had to sit down (stinks for her cause her pretty dress got all muddy). Ash was about to pass out, but I saved the day and carried all her crap (a purse and two pairs of shoes) plus all my crap (a purse, water bottle, and tripod) back to the car. Don't worry, she is okay now, and if I had to, I would have even carried her back to the car cause I just love her that much and that is what friends are for!!!
